HIBBING, MN – Dalton Lamp is not timid on the basketball court.  And the Jamestown senior didn’t start being so on Thursday.

Lamp hit seven three-pointers and a career high 39 points to lead the Blue Jay boys to a 97-88 win over Bemidji (MN) in the consolation bracket of the North Star State Hardwood Showcase at Lincoln Gym.

After the Lumberjacks (3-6) led by as many as six points in the first half, Jamestown (2-4) rallied.  Lamp hit 15 in the first half, including a three-pointer to beat the buzzer as Jamestown took a 48-42 halftime lead.

Jamestown, whose field goal percentage was in the 60s for most of the game, maintained the lead through Lamp, Ryan Larson, who scored 18 points, and Jack Van Berkom, who dropped in 13 points, including two three-pointers.

The Blue Jays made 15 three-pointers, as did Bemidji, who had 32 points and eight three-pointers from Jaxon Boschee and 27 points from Braden Luksik.
