The Small Grain Summer Plot Tours provide farmers and crop consultants with the tools to make small grain production successful and profitable. Tours are held in several Minnesota locations from late June through July.
University of Minnesota Extension small grain specialists and educators will present information on:
- Production agronomics
- Variety selection
- Disease identification
- Fungicide use
- Soil fertility
- Economics
These programs are interactive and discussion based. They feature tours of current research plots as well as discussions of on-farm experiences. Feel free to bring any field samples for diagnosis or discussion!
