On Saturday, January 11, the monthly bluegrass music jam sessions will be held at the Vault Coffee Shop and Arts Center in Valley City. From 11:00 am to noon is a beginner jam/class featuring easy two-chord songs with instruments on hand to try out. Brand new musicians are welcome. From 1:00 -5:00 pm, there is a regular open bluegrass jam session for players with their basic skills in place. The acoustic bluegrass instruments include fiddle, six-string guitar,  mandolin, five-string banjo, Dobro slide guitar, and upright bass.
