Every year, the University of Jamestown Student Senate organizes an Applebee’s fundraising event to benefit a local non-profit in Jamestown. This year, the event will go to support Prairie Paws Rescue of Jamestown.

“We are extremely excited to be working to support Prairie Paws,” said Jacob Just, UJ Student Senator. “This event has become somewhat of a tradition on campus and we look forward to supporting such a worthwhile cause in the community.”

The event will take place on March 26th at the Applebee’s in Jamestown (611 25th St. SW). 20- percent of meal purchases made between 11 A.M. and 10 P.M. will be donated to the UJ Student Senate, which in turn will support Prairie Paws Rescue. Those dining on March 26th must reference the fundraiser when ordering.

Prairie Paws Rescue is a non-profit organization in Jamestown that rescues dogs from pounds and puppy mills and places them on the track to be adopted where they would otherwise be euthanized.

The University of Jamestown Student Senate is the official student government of the University. The Senate serves as the voice among students, bringing attention to concerns and ideas of the students to better the school for all.
