St. John’s Lutheran Church (424 1st Ave. So.), First Congregational United Church of Christ (201 2nd St. SE), and the Basilica of St. James Catholic Church (622 1st Ave. S.) have teamed up to hold their church rummage sales on the same days.

Thursday, August 5 from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Friday, August 6 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. (Friday is Brown Bag Day – $2 per bag). So there’s lots of shopping to do in the downtown area as you support the ministries of these local churches.

Lunch will also be served at two churches. St. John’s Lutheran will be serving sloppy joes, chips, bars and coffee both days.

First Cong. UCC will be serving caramel rolls and coffee both mornings and lunch on Thursday only (chicken or egg salad sandwich, chips, desserts and coffee).
