A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday evening at the church.

Delloy “Del” Creviston was born on May 6, 1939 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada to Ruth and Lloyd Creviston. In 1958 he graduated from Grafton High School, where he met the love of his life, Mary Ellen; they married on September 17th, 1961. He and Mary were blessed to have four children, Pamela Mae, David Gary, Cindy Kae, and Sandra Rae. Del worked for both the Temple Co. and Gamble Store in Grafton, ND and then worked in Grand Forks, ND, finally taking his career to Pamida at Valley City. After his tour at that he became the manager of the Eagles Club and ended his retail career as manager of Budget Home Furnishing in Valley City, ND. He was very involved in Eagles Club where both he and Mary found friendship and community. They both took turns as President, and were named Mr. and Mrs. Eagle. Del was involved in starting the North Star Classic. He served in the National Guard from 1958-1962. He was also a valued member of the Optimist Club, VFW, and a devoted member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Del greatly enjoyed life and was known for taking his family on many state park camping trips with the family camper. He could also be found in the outdoors hunting. He enjoyed using this time to bond with his son, son-in-laws and grandsons. Del also loved to fish, he was a wonderful story teller and knew a thing or two and a fish story. Many of his grandchildren will remember him for teaching them a thing or two about fishing, and the secret song that also brought the fish to “grandpa’s line”. Del had many friends and family to meet him as he passed, including his mother and step-father Ruth and Lloyd, his grandchild Amanda Kae, and many friends.

Although he had many to welcome him to his home in heaven, he has many who will miss his presence here in this life including his wife Mary; his four children, Pamela (Mark) and their children Alex and Conner; David (Connie) and their children Jordan, Zach and Tanner; Cindy (Roger) and their children Amanda (who met her grandfather with a cold Diet Coke in heaven) and Addison; and Sandra with her children Jeff, Natalie and Savanna. He and Mary have three great-grandchildren, Laney, Keegan and Liam.
