N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for November 24th through December 3rd.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, the Department has responded to a total of 274 calls this past week. That total is more than the 268 calls responded to all of last year. Below is a full list of dates, times, and descriptions of each run by the department.
Call No. 267 November 24th, 9:00AM, regional response team responded to the request of other agencies to assist with specialized equipment. Time out 5 hours 30 minutes.
Call No. 268 November 27th, 3:22AM, ready squad responded to 910 2nd Ave SW #6, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate a smoke detector activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 30 minutes.
Call No. 269 November 28th, 5:47PM, ready squad responded to 711 10th St NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-leaking water on smoke detector. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 55 minutes.
Call No. 270 November 29th, 8:05AM, ready squad responded to 1404 1st Ave North, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.
Call No. 271 December 1st, 8:30PM, ready squad responded to 1700 11th Ave NE #9, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-shorted out battery. Time out 40 minutes.
Call No. 272 December 2nd, 9:10PM, ready squad responded to 824 2nd Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 25 minutes.
Call No. 273 December 3rd, 7:58AM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-New Horizons Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
Call No. 274 December 3rd, 12:23PM, fire department responded to 1300 27th Ave SE, Altendorf Trucking, to a report of a fire in a structure. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units, firefighters investigated. Cause-broken natural gas line to a hanging furnace. No injuries reported. Time out 40 minutes.
