N.D.- Now that the calendar has turned to the the new year, the season will really start to pick up for the Oakes High School basketball teams, and it starts Tuesday night as both teams are on the road in different locals.
The boys, who currently sport a record 1-6 and 0-1 in District 1 are in Forman for a district contest against the Sargent Central Cadets, while the girls, who are 2-3 and have yet to play a District 1 game head to South Dakota to battle against Groton.
The rest of the week is quite full for both teams; the boys play one more game this week Friday, while the girls play Thursday and Saturday.
