(NewsDakota.com)–The Lamoure Loboes pulled off an amazing 5 set victory over the top seeded Our Redeemers Knights 3-2 (20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-13) to advance to the state championship against Langdon on Saturday night. Once again it was Anna Holen stealing the show as the Loboe super sophomore had a match high 35 kills to lead the Loboe comeback win. Holen added 28 digs, 2 blocks, and had 1 assist. Kindra Hamlin led the Loboes with 33 digs, added 2 aces, 8 kills, and 1 assist. Autumn Ulmer added 7 kills and a match 6 blocks for the Loboes and teammate Jackie Meiklejohn had amatch high 51 assists, plus a pair of service aces.
The Knights were paced by Morgan Olson’s 25 kills, 25 assists, and added 18 digs. Cara Steede (6’1 Fr.) added 16 kills and 5 blocks. Ryleigh Popinga led the Knights with 23 digs and added 15 kills. Karlee Zablotney also shared a team high 25 assists and also had 14 digs. The Knights had lost only 6 sets the entire season before dropping the final 3 sets to the Loboes. Our Redeemers (41-3) will play Hankinson (33-4) at 2:00 on Saturday for third place. The fourth seeded Loboes (37-2-1) will square off against second seeded Langdon Area/Munich (42-2) for the state class B title at 6:00 P.M. Saturday night.
