Rodin, age 88 of Jamestown, ND, formerly of Marion, ND, died Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown, ND.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City and one hour before the service at the church in Jamestown on Wednesday afternoon.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.

Floyd Clifford Rodin, the son of August “Fred” and Inga (Olson) Rodin, was born June 13, 1927 near Hastings, ND.  Floyd was the oldest of five children and began farming with his father near Marion, ND.  Floyd began buying and selling cattle on his own at age 14 which he continued doing his whole life in Marion and later in Jamestown.  On December 26, 1953 he married Liala Hirsch in Valley City.  The couple lived and farmed and ranched near Marion for 45 years until they retired and moved to Jamestown in 1997.  Liala died on July 19, 2005.  Floyd married Olga Lang on October 11, 2009 in Jamestown, ND.  Floyd loved cattle sales, visiting with his many friends and a good cash deal.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Olga Rodin, Jamestown, ND; two brothers, Lyle (Dorothy) Rodin and Chuck (Carol) Rodin, both of Marion, ND; one brother-in-law, Whilly Ketterling, Wheaton, MN; nephews, Mike Rodin, Brad Rodin, Darin Rodin, Brian Ketterling and Darryl Rodin; nieces, Belinda Nelson, LaNette Hanson and Melissa Rodin; and step children, Darvin Lang, Darrell Lang and Donna Roth.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, wife Liala, one sister Avis Ketterling, one brother Don Rodin and two nephews.
