N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Transportation has planned to let bids in April for a roundabout to be built at Carrington’s Highway 281 and 200 beginning next year.
NDDOT officials along with Sambatek were in Carrington on November 12th to discuss the proposed project with residents. The $3 million project is estimated to be built by November 2016 and would be the fourth roundabout on Highway 200.
Sambatek Engineer Eric Molbert is working on the design of the project and stated that the roundabout will come as part of a major $20 million renovation to Highway 52 near Carrington.
The design will allow large trucks to navigate as well. Molbert pointed out that the roundabout was proposed to cut down on accidents and frustrations with the intersection.
Work is being done based of a 20 year study by the NDDOT.
