City, N.D. – Work on the North Valley Bridge is already underway. The contractor, Industrial Builders of Fargo says work on the .4 million project should be completed by November.

Project manager Shawn Mayfield of Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson says motorists will be able to drive thru during construction.

Mayfield says motorists may be driving on the new structure as early as August and the entire project should be completed by November.

The Barnes County commission voted to approve Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson to do the engineering work yesterday. Mayfield says the engineering fee will be announced to the commission at a later date.

The local cost share on the project is 20 percent or about $480,000 on the $2.4 million project.
