N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the times between October 24th and November 5th.

City Fire Chief Jim Ruether reports that as of November 5th, the department has responded to 245 total calls. Last year, the department responded to 268 calls. Below is a full rundown of calls, details and times.

October 24th, 1:51PM, ready squad responded to 1404 1st Ave North, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-cloth dryer. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

October 26th, 1:08PM, hazmat team responded to a vehicle accident with gasoline leaking from the vehicle. Firefighters laid down firefighting foam until vehicle was removed and contained the gasoline from going into the storm drain. No firefighter injuries reported. Time out 1 hour 10 minutes.

October 27th, 10:43AM, fire department responded to 1005 17th St SW, to a report of a motorhome on fire. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Firefighters contained gasoline from leaking into the ditch. Cause-fuel cell leaking gas. No injuries reported. Time out 45 minutes.

October 27th, 8:30PM, fire department responded to 1921 8th Ave SW, to a report of a vehicle on fire. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Firefighters checked the vehicle and investigated. Cause-electrical wiring. No injuries reported. Time out 15 minutes.

October 27th, 9:12PM, ready squad responded to 423 3rd Ave NW, to a report of smoke in the back yard. Firefighters found a fire that was burning in a legal fire pit. No injuries reported. Time out 10 minutes.

October 29th, 5:37PM, fire department responded to 1509 10th St NE, Jamestown High School, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

October 30th, 5:55AM, fire department responded to 216 6th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-under investigation. No injuries reported. Time out 2 hours 10 minutes.

October 30th, 4:53PM, fire department responded to 1518 6th Ave NW, to a report of smoke. Firefighters found a fire that was burning in a legal fire pit. No injuries reported. Time out 20 minutes.

November 2nd, 12:55PM, ready squad responded to 2400 8th Ave SW, Buffalo Mall, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-water flow alarm activated. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 35 minutes.

November 2nd, 1:04PM, ready squad responded to 2500 8th Ave SW, Fairfield Inn, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-water flow alarm activated. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

November 4th, 4:10PM, fire department responded to 1009 10th St SE, to a report of smoke coming from the back yard. Firefighters found wood pallets burning and owner was required to extinguish the fire. Cause-illegal burning within the city limits. No injuries were reported. Time out 20 minutes.

November 4th, 5:09PM, ready squad responded to 530 Jimmie Lane of U of J, McKenna Thieisch Hall, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-belt on heat pump. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 1 hour.
