LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – At noon, a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop a vehicle west of Rugby on U.S. Highway 2. The driver failed to stop and a 50-mile pursuit began, traveling south on N.D. Highway 3 and west into McHenry County, with speeds reaching 130 mph.

The pursuit ended when the suspect drove down a washed out, dead-end road. Two suspects were taken into custody without resistance. Driver Devin Wynne and passenger Licia Azure, both from Grand Forks, had active warrants for parole violations.

The vehicle had been stolen from Grand Forks yesterday. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found on the scene.
