CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The annual Buck show is back sponsored by the Barnes County Wildlife Club. The show will be held Monday, November 23rd at the Valley City Eagles Club.
Event coordinator TJ Hansen said official scoring of deer will take place from 6pm-7:30 pm on November 23rd.
Rules to be eligible for the prizes are: The hunter either has to be a Barnes County resident or if they live outside of Barnes County they have to be a member of the Barnes County Wildlife Club.
Hansen said the rules changed and we are allowing deer harvested by both bow and rifle this year.
He said if you are not a Barnes County resident then in order for your bow deer to be eligible you have to become a Barnes County Wildlife Club Member prior to September 4th and for your rifle deer to be eligible you would have to be a member prior to November 6th.
1st place $100 or full chest mount by Wagner Taxidermy.
2nd place $50 or antlered plaque.
3rd place $25 or antlered plaque.
1st place junior plaque.

Junior participants are able to win the overall Buck Show too.
