CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A Valley City businessman charged with disorderly conduct made his first court appearance yesterday in Barnes County.
Brian Mindt entered a plea of Not Guilty. He’ accused of harassing a FedEx driver making a delivery to the back door of his business the Iron Stallion. A motion to dismiss the charge was denied. Judge Jerod Tufte said there is probable cause to move the case forward.
The FedEx driver said Mindt shouted racial slurs at him using the” N” word and allegedly punched the radio in the FedEx truck on September 29.
But Mindt says the allegation against him is false.
Mindt is facing a Class B Misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge which carries a maximum sentence of 30 days in jail and or a $1,500 fine. His next court appearance is set for January 12 in Barnes County.
