N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown Student Council have gathered up their teams and are preparing for their annual Trick-or-Can event on Tuesday, October 27th.

Student Senate member Carley Ward stated that the event features teams that go door to door in the community beginning at 5:30 PM and ask for cans and non-perishable food items that will all then be donated to Community Action Region VI.

Last year, six teams took part in the record-breaking event, bringing in a total of 2,613 items. Student Senate member Keely Spiess stated that there will be more teams this year.

Students will take different parts of the community to ask for donations. All items received will be donated to the Community Action food bank.
