N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two individuals were arrested in Jamestown Wednesday afternoon after a high speed chase.

Police attempted to pull over Harmony Olafson and Travis Patzner after license plate readings showed that they were not registered to the vehicle. Authorities say the car traveled normally, but took off and reached speeds of 90 to 100 mph.

The chase led police to a field where the vehicle came to a stop and both Olafson and Patzner took off on foot. Olafson was caught seconds after fleeing and Patzner was found shortly after.

Olafson faces charges of preventing arrest and fleeing a police officer. Patzner faces charges of preventing arrest, fleeing, reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance and violating the 24/7 program.
