– The Jamestown Police Department has notified the public of two high-risk sex offenders living in Jamestown.
36-year-old Darren Michael Weber and 65-year-old Francis Clifford Clauthier are both living at 2308 Circle Drive, which is a transitional house on State Hospital property. According to Jamestown Police, the two men are working towards their complete release through a treatment program. Both are working on the state hospital grounds, and will be supervised by State Hospital staff when out in the community.
Weber is described as a 6-foot-1 white male weighing 275 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. Clautheir is described as a 5-foot-8 American Indian weighing 167 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Both men will be placed on GPS Monitoring, and are not wanted by police at this time.
According to a release from the Jamestown Police Department, Weber was convicted of gross sexual imposition in Burleigh County District Court in 1999. He had intercourse with a 14-year-old girl while a friend of his had intercourse with her 17-year-old sister right next to him. Weber believes that if he is released, he will reoffend.
According to the release, Clauthier was convicted of gross sexual imposition in Grand Forks County District Court in 1994. He forcibly raped an adult female in Grand Forks. He was also convicted of criminal sexual assault in 1980 in Polk County District Court, Minn., after forcibly raping a victim in a deserted area after offering her a ride in his vehicle.
