N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the weeks of August 21st through September 17th this year.

Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Ruether reports that the department has responded to a total of 196 calls in the most recent run log. Included in the report is a power line arcing in a tree and a semi that was on fire and subsequently put out. You can view the full list of runs, dates, and times below.

Call No. 179 August 25th, 9:46AM, ready squad responded to 415 11th St NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-possible dryer vent plugged. Time out 20 minutes.

Call No. 180 August 28th, 11:01AM, fire department hazmat team responded to 213 Lindwood Drive SW, to a report of a natural gas line was leaking. Firefighters stood by until MDU arrived on scene to stop the leak. Cause-construction work. No injuries were reported. Time out 45 minutes.

Call No. 181 August 28th, 3:50PM, ready squad responded to 1300 2nd Place NE, Eventide, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

Call No. 182 August 29th, 9:10AM, ready squad responded to 1219 Business Loop East, Casey’s General Store, to investigate smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 183 September 1st, 11:21AM, ready squad responded to 2604 12th Ave NE, UTC, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-sprinkler water flow alarm. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.

Call No. 184 September 1st, 2:52PM, ready squad responded to 800 12th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm system was not operating, so a 24 hour fire watch was put in place by owner/manager. Time out 30 minutes.

Call No. 185 September 4th, 5:06AM, fire department responded to 306 16th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a structure fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-under investigation. No injuries were reported. Time out 1 hour 30 minutes.

Call No. 186 September 5th, 5:02PM, ready squad responded to 1715 3rd Ave SE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-power outage activated the fire alarm. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.

Call No. 187 September 6th, 10:55PM, fire department heavy rescue squad responded to Highway 52 North mile marker 242, to a report of persons trapped in vehicle. Firefighters extricated 2 persons from the vehicle and assisted EMS. Cause-vehicle rollover. No other injuries reported. Time out 1 hour 20 minutes.

Call No. 188 September 7th, 7:43PM, fire department responded to 605 25th St SW, to a report of a vehicle on fire. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Cause-fuel systems malfunction. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.
