FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A McLeod, ND boy was killed after losing control of a 4-wheeler near the Grand Forks Air Force Base yesterday at around 10:00 AM.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that the 9 year-old boy was operating a 4-wheeled off-highway vehicle near the construction project where his father was working. The boy lost control of the vehicle in a rutted grassy area and it overturned, ejecting the driver and subsequently coming to rest on top of the boy. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The boy was not wearing a helmet. The investigation is ongoing.
