A study by SmartAsset.com has Dickey County ranked third in the state when it comes to property tax dollars being spent effectively. The study factored in school rankings, crime rates and property taxes to create an overall index value; in which Dickey County had a score of 93.48 out of a possible 100 points.
Benson County was ranked first with a score of 97.49. Ransom County was listed sixth with a score of 81.45, and Barnes County was tenth in the study, with a score of 74.81
