CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A roller coaster at Valley Fair was mild compared to the game the Valley City Hi-Liners and the Wahpeton Huskies played at Hannah Field on Friday night.

After being down 22-0 with 6:43 left to go in the fourth quarter, Huskies quarterback Carson Zarak pulled a rabbit from his hat. Zarak threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another as the Huskies tied the game with 43 seconds left to play in regulation and forced overtime.

The Hi-Liners would respond with a two yard touchdown from Nate Rodriguez to take the lead 28-22.

Then the defense stepped up and played it’s part, stopping Zarak on fourth and goal to go on and win 28-22 over the Huskies in overtime.

Here’s Valley City head coach Scott Roehrich’s interview with Chase Miller after the game.
