N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Air quality in the Great Plains is forecast to be affected by wildfires that are currently burning in the Pacific Northwest.

According to the Bismarck National Weather Service, air quality will be affected in Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota later in the day as wildfires continue to burn in the West. Meteorologist Bill Abeling stated that the airflow will bring a haze to our area.

Bill pointed out the effects of the smoke that will permeate the area.

The smoke is forecasted to remain in the state until wildfires are contained in the west.
