N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Humane Society is a no-kill shelter that can house up to 25 cats and 15 dogs at a time. And according to Board President Matt Opsahl, they are over capacity.

The Humane Society not only accepts abandoned and stray pets, but they work with animals that come from unfavorable situations. Opsahl pointed out that members were working with two animals that came from a group of 60 dogs that were extremely mistreated.

Opsahl also pointed out that even though they were at full capacity, they would continue to help as much as possible with other events in the state.
