N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Four time cancer survivor and transcontinental runner Helene Neville is nearing the end of her journey and part of it has brought her through Jamestown.

Neville began her run on the East Coast in May 2015 and plans to reach the West Coast by September 5th, 2015. Her planned route has brought her to the community of Jamestown and several runners with the Jamestown High School Cross Country team and residents joined her as she made her run from the Jamestown High School to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Neville stated that it went quickly.

Neville also stated that she will be the first to complete the run of the contiguous U.S in many different categories and that she’s honored to be someone who can represent so many other people in their fight.
