N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center has announced the addition of Carrington, ND native Rebecca Gussiaas to their rehabilitation department as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Gussiaas will be working with both adults and children with speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders.

“I got into speech pathology because I want to make a difference in patients’ lives and help to connect family members through successful communication. It is rewarding to facilitate different interactions, such as children having the ability to express their wants and needs, or to help someone tell their loved one ‘I love you,’” said Rebecca.

She will be able to help with many different areas that include stuttering, language delay, voice therapy, cognitive deficits and memory impairments.
