N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After the Two Rivers Activity Center 1% sales tax was approved by voters, it left the city looking for other options to pay for the Land Use & Transportation Plan.

Mayor Katie Andersen stated during a meeting that after the TRAC vote passed, it left the city to begin looking elsewhere to help fund the cities growth plan.

Mayor Andersen stated that special assessment projects have already taken up much of the funding from the allocated budget and needed upgrades to the waste water treatment will leave them without much to finish other projects.

Mayor Andersen also stated that the city would continue to look for source funding to help fund the future projects in the community. When asked how much the community received from the surge funding bill, Mayor Andersen stated that the city was receiving roughly $900,000 and that it would used to jump start certain projects.
