N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A group of four young Jamestown men were awarded Mike Rowe Scholarships to help aid their trip to Nationals in Kentucky on June 22nd through the 26th.

According to Health Science Careers Instructor Deb Fischer, the scholarship received by the boys has allowed them to reach their goal of $11,000 needed to attend the national competition. Kelton Beedy, Mason Kurtz, Jared Schultz and Logan Anderson are all students at the James Valley Career & Technology Center and North Dakota gold medalists in Construction Team Works.

The scholarship received was created in 2008 by Mike Rowe to “give something back and challenge the prevailing definition of a ‘good job'”
