N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Representative Jessica Haak is scheduled to host forums to discuss the needs surrounding childcare in Jamestown and surrounding communities.

Leaders from the childcare industry and the business community will be in attendance. Representative Haak stated that childcare is a critical issue in the community.

“It is important that we bring business leaders, parents, and providers together to discuss solutions to the needs throughout the community,” said Haak. “In Jamestown, over 90 percent of households with two parents have both parents working. That’s higher than the state average. We need to collaborate to address this issue to anticipate the growth in Jamestown and surrounding communities in upcoming years.”

All who attend will be able to comment on the childcare issue. The forums are scheduled to begin at 12:07 PM at the Gladstone Inn on both Tuesday, June 23rd and Monday, June 29th. The event is free and open to the public.
