(NewsDakota.com) – After Day 1 of the state golf tournament in Fargo, Jamestown’s Austin Rene and Nick Stockert are in the mix. They shot matching 77s which puts them in a six-way tie for 7th. The tournament is being played at Edgewood Golf Course in Fargo.

Rene and Stockert were the only two Blue Jays who qualified for state after the team finished 9th at the WDA meet. Hunter Moen of West Fargo shot a 71 for the top spot after Day 1.

West Fargo and Shanley are tied atop the team scores with a 307. The tournament continues Thursday.
