(NewsDakota.com) The Jamestown High School baseball team rallied from a 5-0 deficit, but were not once able to take the lead in their State Class A Seventh Place contest against Bismarck Century on Saturday at Newman Outdoor Field, falling 6-5 in eight innings to the Patriots.

The Patriots (18-19) scored two runs in the second and three in the third to take a sizable lead. The Blue Jays (18-20) came firing back in the sixth with three runs; adding another three in the seventh; including the tying run on a single by Tanner Lunzman coming with Jamestown down to their last strike. Nate Soulis struck out Cyrill Nagerski with the bases loaded, a full count, and two outs to force the game to an extra inning.

In the eighth, Jamestown stranded Peyton Walker at third base while Ben Berg hit a one out RBI single to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the inning.

Soulis took the loss, with Lunzman picked up a no decision with three innings and five hits allowed with three strikeouts.
