CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Chad Clement served in the U-S Navy for 28 years. He now serves as the new Veterans Service Officer in Barnes County.

The St. Cloud, Minnesota native is married and he and his wife Renee have two sons. His first day on the job was May 25. He introduced himself to the community during a visit with Steve Urness on KOVC Radio’s Voice of the Valley program on May 28.

Clement said help is available for veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome. He also urged veterans to call his office 24/7 whether they need help or have questions concerning veteran related issues at 701-845-8511.

Clement replaces former Veterans Service Officer Scott Crump who resigned to move with his family in Hudson, Wisconsin.

A farewell gathering for Scott Crump will be held Friday, May 29 from 2pm to 4pm inside the Barnes County Courthouse. The public is welcome to attend.
