N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Human Services has announced their appointment of Rosalie Etherington, PhD. as the new North Dakota State Hospital Superintendent.

According to a release, Etherington brings 22 years of experience in quality management, program development, and operating regulations and requirements in behavioral health. She is currently serving as the Clinical Director for Inpatient Services at the North Dakota State Hospital.

Alex Schweitzer, who was Superintendent since 1995 and served as the statewide human service center director for eight regional centers, is retiring May 31st. The 304-bed State Hospital is located in Jamestown.
