ND – A man faces a number of charges after he tried to elude a Foster County Sheriff’s Deputy north of Carrington Friday night around 11:25pm on May 15.
In a news release Foster County States Attorney Paul Murphy said the pursuit ended in Eddy County after the suspect’s vehicle went off the road and got stuck and the man was arrested.
Murphy said a sheriff’s deputy was attacked by a dog inside the suspect’s vehicle during the arrest. No other injuries were reported. The suspect’s vehicle reached a speed of nearly 100 mph during the pursuit.
Foster County County Sheriff Ian Mattice said his deputies acted professionally under extreme hazardous and dangerous condition during the pursuit.
