N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Carrington man was charged with a DUI after his vehicle was stuck and caught fire May 7th.

28 year-old John Reyes of Carrington was traveling on Highway 52 at around 9:41 PM near Edmonds when the vehicle he was driving drifted off the right shoulder into a ditch. Reyes attempted to correct the vehicle, slid across both lanes and entered the west ditch. The vehicle became stuck and started on fire. The engine compartment area was significantly damaged.

Reyes was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence. The crash remains under investigation.
