N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Teen Community Emergency Response Team exercise has been planned for Thursday at the Jamestown High School.
Jamestown High is currently participating in the fifth year of the CERT program and is coming to a close with its final exercise this Thursday. Approximately 97 students of the freshman class will be participating in the disaster exercise. JHS Drama students will act as victims in a mock bleacher collapse scenario and will require CERT students to act as responders.
According to Stutsman County Assistant Emergency Manager Sarah Van De Velde, this year’s class is so large, that there will be two separate exercises and graduation ceremonies. The first group will begin at 9:01 AM and the second will follow at 10:21 AM. The training is set to be in the Jamestown High School Gym.
