(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School baseball team continued on its winning ways on Monday, after defeating Sheyenne-New Rockford 10-3 at Jack Brown Stadium.
The Tornadoes (6-4, 4-4 Class B Region I) picked up 12 hits off of Black Sox pitching, and all but one in the batting order registered at least a hit. Bryce Meehl, Mike Kelly and Matt Kuipers earned doubles in the victory, while Jed Bopp had two singles, two runs scored and two runs batted in.
Kelly was the victorious pitcher, going three innings, allowing four hits and three strikeouts. Hayden Eldridge took the loss for SNR (6-7, 4-4 Class B Region III) going all seven innings, allowing six runs and striking out four.
