Robert Schmidt was prematurely born, with his twin sister Carly, on February 8, 2015 in Jamestown. He passed away at Children’s Hospital, Minneapolis, MN after 70 days of touching the hearts of his family. Calen will be forever in the hearts of his parents, Greg & Beth Schmidt, Edgeley, ND; his twin sister, Carly; his maternal grandparents, Robert & Deborah Roscoe, LaMoure, ND; his paternal grandparents, Ronald & Diane Schmidt, Edgeley, ND; his paternal great-grandparents, Joe & Maggie Fettig, Napoleon, ND; aunts, Bridget & Daymond Syversen, Edgeley, ND, Bobbi Jo & Rohan Roscoe-Bryan, Florence, AZ, Lori & Brian Brown, Lincoln, ND, Shelly Kadrmas, Lincoln, ND and Kindra Schmidt & Matt Donvan, Sydney, MT; uncle, Donnie Schmidt, Bismarck, ND; and many cousins.
In Heaven to welcome Calen were his maternal great-grandparents Robert and Blanche Roscoe, Ole and Marvalene Haugen; his paternal great-grandparents Roy and Helen Schmidt; his great aunt Diane (Haugen) Benson; and his great uncles Duane Haugen and Paul Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, the Schmidt family offers the options of memorials to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley, The March of Dimes North Dakota Chapter or a charity of your choice.
Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley.
Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.
Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley.
