CITY, ND – More construction is visible in Valley City as crews began moving earth to build a new GrandStay Inn Hotel on April 14.
One of the developers, Tim Logan told KOVC news that more than a dozen people are part of a group that owns the hotel. Logan says there hotel will have a swimming pool, 58 rooms, including 11 extended stay rooms, meeting rooms and a breakfast area for guests once it’s completed in October.

Meanwhile the Valley Development Corporation announced that a Minnesota company plans to build a 40 unit apartment complex just west of an existing 36 unit along Winter Show Road in Valley City.
Local economic development director Jennifer Feist says pending final approval S.W. Design Inc. plans to start building the apartment complex on July 1. The company is based out of Luverne & St. Joseph, Minnesota.
The Valley City commission approved the first reading of an ordinance to rezone 3.44 acres of land for the apartment complex development on April 7.
