– The Stutsman County 4-H clubs are sticking to their roots this year as they issue a challenge to help fill the local food pantries.

Area 4-H clubs are striving to fill a stock trailer with items to donate to Community Action and the Salvation Army food pantries. The 4-H food drive is in its second year, and the Stock the Stock Trailer theme is new this year.

Last year the food drive was a challenge between 4-H clubs and they collected about 700 items to donate. This year’s event takes place Nov. 29 in conjunction with the annual Farmers Appreciation Banquet at the Jamestown Civic Center. 4-H volunteers will be in the Jamestown Civic parking lot from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29 accepting donations.

They are accepting items such as non-perishable food items, toiletries and monetary donations.
