CITY,N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City State Women’s basketball players Georgia Williams and Sadiqah Jihad have been named to the North Star Athletic Association All-Conference team.
In her first season at Valley City State, Williams was named to the NSAA first team. She also took home the Newcomer Player of the Year Award. The Australian native led the Vikings with 14.4 points a game this season. On the defensive side of the ball she finished the year second in the league with just under two steals a game and was third in blocked shots.

Jihad picked up second team honors. In her senior season, the Vikings point guard set a new school record for career assists at 417 in her four seasons. She led the North Star in the same category this year averaging just over four assists a game. She posted 6.3 points a game.

The Vikings ended the regular season with a record of 22-9 this year. The made the conference championship where they just missed a bid at NAIA National Tournament in a 65-48 loss to the University of Jamestown.
