N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A county-wide test of the CodeRED mass notification system was completed last week on Friday in two separate ways.
The first test was conducted at 11:10 AM for both land-line and cell phones, in addition to text messaging. The second test was for email notification only. Results of the test indicated that 100% of text and email messages were delivered. Some issues were found with individuals cell phone carriers and only receiving part of the message which will be addressed.
The test found that only 69% of phone numbers in the system received the test. According to Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist, that number could dramatically increase if people sign up for the notification system. You can sign up for free on the Stutsman County Website.
