N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Kindred Vikings played a complete game on Monday night at the Fargo Civic Auditorium to pick up the District 2 championship over the Maple Valley Raiders 59-46. Central Cass and Fargo Oak Grove also advanced to the regional tournament with win in the regional qualifiers.

Championship: Maple Valley 46 Kindred 59

While the Raiders hit a 53 percent of their shots, the Vikings took the apprach of throwing just about everything twords the net taking 60 shots in the game. Along with the barrage of shots, the Vikings forced 28 turnovers and gave up just 11 in the game. 

Eight Kindred players made their way on the score sheet in the game including three who made who posted double digits. Alexis Piatz led Kindred with 15 points, Rachel Hall and Sierra Graff each knocked down 10 in the win. 

Maple Valley’s Rylee Nudell led all scores in thee game with 22 points. Both Maple Valley and Kindred move on to the Regional tournament. 

Regional Qualifier: Enderlin 39 Fargo Oak Grove 52

Oak Grove earned the right to move onto the Region 1 Tournament with a win over the Enderlin Eagles. 

Oak Groves Amber Muir went 6-for-8 from the three point line and scored a game high 20 points. Kirsten Bokinskie posted 15 points fro the Grovers. Enderlin was led on the score sheet by Hayleigh Lautt’s 12 points in the loss.

 Central Cass 60 Richland 48

In the first regional qualifier of the night, Central Cass defeated Richland to make their way into the Region 1 Tournament.

Central Cass’ Macie Romsdal scored 24 points to led all scorers in the game.

The Region 1 Tournament begins on Monday, February 23rd all of Maple Valley’s games can be heard on Q101.
