Roehrich Jr., age 73, of Oriska, ND died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.  A service celebrating John’s life will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City with a time of fellowship following at the Senior Citizen’s Center in Valley City.  Burial will be later in the spring.

John Roehrich Jr. was born Sept. 28, 1941 at Strasburg, ND the son of John and Elizabeth (Holzer) Roehrich.  He grew up and attended school near Linton, ND and then worked for a time at Bismarck, ND before moving to Casselton, ND.  He married Loretta Hagen and the couple later moved to the Dazey, ND area where John farmed and also worked for other area farmers.  In 1992 he and Loretta moved to Oriska, ND.  Due to health problems John became a resident of the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.

John loved horses but also spent time fishing and riding his motorcycle.  He was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Valley City.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Loretta, and three sons; Gary of Dazey, ND, Robert (Becky) of Leonard, ND, and Brian of Dazey, ND and 4 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and 2 brothers.
