N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown welcomed in Presentation College to the Jamestown Civic Center on Wednesday night and only the women would pick up a win. The No. 12 Jimmie women took care of business early and coasted in their 89-64 win. The men were beaten for a second straight time by the Saints 88-83 in overtime.

Jessica Buck lead the Jimmies with 20 points, but it was their shooting from beyond the arc that buried the Saints. Chelsey Frydenlund splashed in four of the Jimmies’ nine first-half triples. She finished with five makes from deep. Kaeli Kraska added three.
Jamestown is tied with Valley City State at 6-1 in the North Star Athletic Association. The Jimmies are one win shy of their seventh straight 20-win season.
MBB: Presentation 88, Jimmies 83 OT
With the Saints leading 86-83 with just five seconds remaining in overtime following Brequan Tucker’s layup the Jimmies sent Jeremy Comer to the free throw. Comer had a chance to ice it for Presentation. However, the Saints senior missed both free throws and the Jimmies were given new life. Taylor Newton tried to throw a long pass off the inbound to KeWan Davis but the ball sailed over his head.
Then the Saints couldn’t get the ball inbounded and Jamestown was given new life. But again Newton and Tucker couldn’t connect on the inbound. Comer stole the ball and ran down for a time-expiring dunk.
With Dakota State’s loss to Mayville State there is now a three-way tie atop the North Star Athletic Association. Jamestown is 17-7 (5-2) and locked in that tie with DaSU and PC.
Jimmies are back in action on Saturday at Dickinson State, 5pm and 7pm. Games can be heard on ESPN Jamestown and NewsDakota.com.
