(NewsDakota.com) The 2015 North Dakota Class B District 5 Girls Basketball Tournament starts Friday, February 13 and runs Saturday the 14th and Monday the 16th at the Jamestown Civic Center.

First round play starts at 4:30 p.m. Friday with #4 Edgeley-Kulm-Montpeiler (3-3 District 5) playing #5 Oakes (2-4). At approximately 6 p.m., #2 LaMoure-Litchville/Marion (5-1) will face #7 Midkota/Kensal (0-6). The third game Friday at around 7:30 will feature #3 Barnes County North (4-2) and #6 Ellendale (1-5).

Saturday’s play also starts at 4:30 p.m. with the losers of the last two games meeting, followed by #1 Carrington (6-0) against the winner of the EKM/Oakes contest. At 7:30 Saturday, the two winners from Friday’s last two games will meet.

Two Class B Region III qualifying matches are set for February 16, with the first at 4:30 p.m. and the District 5 Championship game set for 7:30 p.m. To view the bracket, click here.

The entire District 5 tournament can be heard on TED-FM 98.3 (102.7 FM in the Valley City area), and on NewsDakota.com, with the Oakes games simulcast on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM. Coverage all three days will start at 4 p.m.
