N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – BNSF has announced that they’ve reduced their price of the automated rail switch at the Spiritwood Energy Park.

The original cost for the switch was $970,000 but has now dropped to $783,000. The switch includes units that connect to eastbound and westbound lines for BNSF. The switch will provide access between the rail loop and the BNSF main line.

SEPA has already paid BNSF about $500,000 for manual switches, but BNSF required heated or automated switches to be installed. The due date for the cost of the switch is March 31st.
