N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An accident that occurred on I-94 near Jamestown Exit 260 killed one and injured two others Monday morning.

At around 8:36 AM, the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Jamestown Police Department, and North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a fatality motor vehicle crash. An 18 year-old Killdeer, North Dakota woman fell asleep, lost control, crossed the median and struck an oncoming westbound pickup.

The 61 year-old Garfield, MN driver of the pickup quickly succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The 35 year-old passenger Dalton, MN man and the woman were both injured and transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Both injuries were non-life threatening.

The roadway was partially blocked for several hours and still remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
