CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Several Valley City firefighters were recognized for their years of service during their annual banquet on January 24.

An empty table set up at the Eagles Club honored those North Dakota firefighters who are no longer with us. There have been 20 North Dakota firefighters who died in the line of duty since statehood.

The North Dakota Firefighters Fallen Firefighter Memorial and museum is in Garrison, North Dakota.

State senator Larry Robinson of Valley City was the keynote speaker during the banquet held Saturday, January 24 at the Valley City Eagles Club.
